not only does this cruel world keep apart people who love, need and miss each other... it does its darned best not to let them forget.  from little pinpricks to loud bops on the head...

*double sighs*

i need to change my cable tv provider.  RTvE helps, but not always.

thank you LJ for keeping me sane..

The writer below claims to have interviewed Steven for this quote:

... The fact is that Alonso was key to Liverpool's resurgence last season and without him they miss the urgency of his passes to Gerrard.

'Xabi Alonso was priceless for me,' Steven Gerrard explained when we met last month. 'The speed of his delivery was essential because it gave us the advantage over the defenders. I really miss him because I scored a lot of goals that were down to his speed of thought.

'The service, the way he controlled games, to lose that was big for us. He is one of the best in the world in that position.

my only thought.  ... bittersweet.

a very difficult decision for (me) to make.
and with these words he has broken his silence.

poor xabi.. he was devastated, yet he valiantly stayed professional and played his best at all times.  he is indeed our best player, ever!

muchas gracias, guapo!   te amamos siempre!

a couple of articles on xabi.
they're calling him the most important of the new galacticos.
bittersweet, i must say.
ahhhhh. life.

snarky: xabi the only galactico.  he is the only 'space-age' player.  the others may just be space cadets.
